Description
This service provides specialized care to enhance the coloration of variegated and colorful foliage plants (such as Caladium, Fittonia, and variegated Rubber Trees). Specialists adjust light intensity based on changes in leaf color; for instance, variegated varieties may lose their pattern definition in low light and require moving to a brighter spot, while colorful varieties are prone to scorching in excessive light and require appropriate shading.
During on-site visits, leaves that have reverted to solid green are removed to prevent these branches from draining nutrients. Fertilizer ratios are adjusted—specifically by reducing nitrogen—to prevent leggy growth that could cause variegation to fade. Data regarding leaf pattern area and color saturation is recorded during every service visit.
Provided twice monthly, this service employs precise light and nutrient management to help colorful foliage plants maintain distinct, vibrant patterns and preserve their unique ornamental value.
