Description
This service is performed after the plant’s flowering period ends. A specialist removes all spent flowers and stalks, performing moderate “cut-back” pruning on branches that have flowered. After assessing the plant’s overall condition, watering and fertilization schedules are adjusted—switching from bloom-promoting fertilizer to a balanced or foliage-focused formula—to help the plant recover from the energy expenditure of flowering.
For bulbous plants (such as hyacinths and amaryllis), we preserve the foliage after flowering to allow for photosynthesis and bulb nourishment; watering and fertilization continue as usual until the leaves naturally yellow and wither, at which point they are trimmed off and watering ceases. This process is crucial for ensuring the plant blooms again the following year.
The service also includes refreshing the topsoil in the pot to replenish surface nutrients. Proper post-bloom care leads to a noticeable improvement in the quantity and vibrancy of flowers in the coming year.
